Darwin's beachside sunset market, Thursdays and Sundays 4-9pm in the dry season, with 150+ food and craft stalls and live music.

Mindil Beach Sunset Market is Darwin's largest market, held beside Mindil Beach between the casino and the Botanic Gardens, less than 3 km from the city centre. It runs from the last Thursday in April to the last Thursday in October, on Thursdays and Sundays from 4pm to 9pm, and families come to watch the sunset over the sea. There are more than 150 stalls, including about 60 food stalls with cuisines from around the world, plus arts, crafts and live music at the Sound Shell, with Mick's Whips performing at 7:30pm. Thursday is the main market; Sunday is a smaller locals' night. As of October 2026 the closing night of the 2026 season is Thursday 29 October from 4pm, with fireworks at 8pm. Entry is not charged on the website. Free parking is available, buses 4 and 6 stop nearby, and there are toilets including accessible toilets, ATMs and a St John Ambulance first aid post. Pets are not allowed except service dogs. It is BYO alcohol.
