Melbourne City Football Club is a community soccer club founded in 1990, not the A-League club of a similar name. Its home ground is Edwards Reserve in South Kingsville, and it runs MiniRoos teams for ages 5 to 11 and junior teams for ages 12 to 16, alongside senior men's teams. Volunteer coaches deliver age-appropriate sessions designed by Elite Football Club, focusing on fundamental skills, movement, coordination and game understanding. The 2026 season ran from 9 February to 13 September 2026. 2026 registration fees, which include training, Football Victoria registration and insurance, were $520 for MiniRoos boys aged 5-9, $460 for MiniRoos girls 5-9, $540 for boys 10-11, $500 for girls 10-11, $580 for junior boys 12-16 and $550 for junior girls 12-16. Registration is through Football Victoria's online system, with ages based on the age a child turns that year. Players bring a water bottle and correct training kit.
