Megasaurus Playground

Last updated September 2026

Megasaurus Playground in Cranbourne East is a whole dinosaur-themed park, often called Melbourne's version of Jurassic Park. The headline is a flying fox under a huge 25-metre brontosaurus frame, and there's also a 20-metre dinosaur climbing frame with nets and a slide, a pterodactyl basket swing with steel feathers that doubles as a cubby, and stegosaurus plates fitted with climbing holds that make different sounds. It's in a local park in the Livingston estate, and it's free. Good to Know It's on Newington Drive, off the Berwick-Cranbourne Road. GPS can struggle with the newer streets, so navigate to Newington Drive. Bring hats and water: it's an open, newer estate park.
