Gymnastics club in Lawnton with parent-and-child classes from age 2 through to competitive MAG and WAG programs.

Lawnton Academy of Artistic Gymnastics at 13 Walter Crescent, Lawnton, is a family-owned gymnastics club founded in 1982. Classes start from age 2. Kindy Kippers (2-4 years) is a parent-and-child class covering tumbling, rolling, balancing and an introduction to trampoline, beam and bars. Pre Prep Flyers (4-5 years) adds vaulting and more apparatus work. Older boys and girls move into men's and women's artistic gymnastics (MAG and WAG) development, junior and senior programs that follow the Australian Levels Program. New students start with a two-lesson introduction for a small cost, booked through the trial form on the website; the price is not published. Children can enrol any time, with term invoices adjusted to the start date. The club runs six 8-week terms a year, with no classes on public holidays, and keeps a coach-to-child ratio of 1:8. Fitted clothing is recommended and long hair must be tied up.
