Heron Way Reserve in Hallett Cove has a nature-play playground with water play (a water pump), a sandpit, a rocky river, logs and stacking stones, balance beams, steps and a balance bridge, a climbing net, a mound slide, and baby and standard swings, according to the City of Marion. Shade sails, bark chip and rubber softfall are listed. Facilities include a kiosk/cafe, BBQs, picnic tables, a shelter, seating, lighting, disabled and off-street parking, outdoor fitness equipment and daylight-hours toilets with baby change and disabled access. The reserve is on the Coast to Vines Rail Trail. Nearby are the Boatshed Cafe (about 270 m), Boatshed Restaurant (about 270 m) and Boatshed Kiosk (about 280 m).
