George Burnett Leisure Centre is the City of South Perth's multi-purpose leisure facility at George Burnett Park, on the corner of Manning Road and Elderfield Road, Karawara. It has an air-conditioned sports hall with pickleball, basketball, badminton, soccer and volleyball courts, plus seminar and meeting rooms. Behind the centre is a reserve with a playground, barbecues, an edible garden and an outdoor skate park. The City runs after-school junior in-term programs, grouped by school year from Pre-Primary, covering basketball, soccer and arts and craft; places are limited and booking is online. Courts can be hired casually, and casual unsupervised use costs $9 per person per hour (as of October 2026). Staffed hours are weekdays 8.30am to 9pm. Children aged 11 and under must be supervised by an adult, and enclosed shoes are required for sport. Food and drinks other than water are not allowed in the sports hall.
