The council's visitor information page lists it among the municipality's parks and reserves with play equipment, and it was one of the council playspaces where Sorell Council held a community pop-up in March 2025 for its Playspace Audit and Plan. A pump track is being added. Sorell Council's April 2026 meeting agenda records a Flyway Park pump track project kick-off on 14 April 2026, with a BBQ shelter and irrigation works brought forward to be delivered with the pump track, so parts of the park may be affected by works as of October 2026.
