DinoFest Melbourne

Seasonal: DinoFest comes to Nortons Park in Wantirna South in the Melbourne school holidays. The 2026 spring season runs 19 September - 4 October (not 23, 28 or 29 September), plus 10-11 October, and future dates are announced on dinofest.com. Each 90-minute session includes a 45-minute Dinosaur Encounter show where life-size walking dinosaurs - Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus and cute babies - come out to meet the crowd, while Dino Rangers share facts and terrible prehistoric jokes. Then there's the Dino Trail with more than 30 dinosaurs, including a Brachiosaurus, plus a Dino Dig, Feel a Fossil with real dinosaur bones, and dinosaur crafts. Good to Know Sessions at 10:30am, 1pm and 3pm. They're capped, and last year's Melbourne season sold out. It's best for kids under 9. Under-2s are free. Free parking within walking distance, plus a coffee and hot food truck. Quiet sessions with smaller crowds are available for neurodivergent kids.
