ClayGround runs pottery classes for adults and children at its Brookvale studio, 11 Mitchell Rd, Brookvale. For kids, its After School ClayTime course for ages 8 and up covers hand-building for four weeks, wheel throwing with a wheel for every student, and glazing. As of October 2026, the Term 4 course runs for 9 weeks on Thursdays from 4pm to 5:30pm and costs $475, including clay, tools, aprons, glazes and kiln firing. It is drop-off only. In school holidays, ClayCamp workshops for ages 8 to 16 cover hand-building and wheel work, from $69 for a 2-hour half-day session; children can stay for a full day with a supervised lunch break. Children should wear clothes that can get messy and closed-toe shoes and bring a water bottle. Fired pieces are ready for collection 2 to 3 weeks after the course ends. Street parking is free on Mitchell Road.
