Traditional Japanese martial arts dojo in central Hobart with ninja classes for ages 6-15, $66 a month, free trial class.

Bujinkan Tasmania Dojo at 159 Macquarie Street, Hobart (behind Legacy House) teaches traditional Japanese martial arts and ninjutsu, with children's classes under the Ninja Dojo name. Ninja Kids (ages 6 to 9) covers agility, falling and rolling, self-defence and awareness games; a parent or guardian must be present for ages 6 to 7. Ninja Warriors (ages 10 to 15) adds striking, locking and throwing techniques. Classes are non-competitive. As of October 2026 Ninja Kids runs at 4pm to 4:45pm (Tuesday and Thursday for new students, Monday and Wednesday for graded students) and Ninja Warriors on Wednesday and Friday, 5pm to 6pm. Trial classes are free for children. Fees are $66 a month plus a $110 joining fee that includes a uniform; there is no pay-per-class option. Register in person at the dojo and wear loose clothing with no zips or buttons.
