Banyo Bowls Club at 16 Froude St, Banyo, is a community lawn bowls club with two full-size greens: one for bowls competition and one for barefoot bowls and free play for children. Barefoot bowls has a green fee of $10 per person; groups of eight or more should contact the club to book. Shoes come off on the greens except in competition, and the club asks that prams, rugs and toys stay on the grass beside the rinks. Friday evenings are a barefoot bowls locals night where the club invites families to let kids play. Food trucks come on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 3pm, and the Hiro Meshi kitchen serves lunch Wednesday to Saturday and dinner Wednesday to Friday. The clubhouse is licensed, with live music and quiz nights. Social membership is $5 a year.
