Advantage Aquatics runs group learn-to-swim lessons at Valentine Sports Park, 235 Meurants Lane, Glenwood, in a heated pool with a viewing area. Classes start from 4 months of age: Cherubs (4-15 months) and Walkers (16 months to 3 years) are parent-and-child classes, and a free four-week Baby Steps program is offered for babies up to 18 months. Preschool and school-aged levels progress from FUNdamentals through Explorers, Adventurers, Pathfinders and Achievers, and there are teen, squad and adapted (EPIC) programs. Lessons run year-round on a perpetual basis, closed on public holidays and over a short Christmas break, with school holiday intensives. Enrolment is through the online customer portal and payment is by direct debit; prices are not published on the website. Bring swimwear, a cap, goggles and a towel; caps are required from preschool age, and babies need a double nappy.
